Due to the Pandemic, The Fair and in-person events were canceled. PPF chose to run a series of free, virtual events for the 2021 season.

The 2021 season used photos from Pittsburgh photographers Rosemary Macuga Thellman, EB Photography, and Hannah Frank in promotional materials.

BARBARA TANNENBAUM
Chair of Prints, Drawings, and Photographs; Curator of Photography
Cleveland Museum of Art

Barbara Tannenbaum joined the Cleveland Museum of Art as curator of photography in 2011 after 26 years at the Akron Art Museum as head of that institution’s curatorial area. She holds a BA in art history from Reed College in Portland, Oregon, and an MA and PhD from the University of Michigan and received research fellowships from the Henry Luce Foundation, the American Association of University Women, and the Danforth Foundation. 

Before entering the museum world, Barbara was director of the OxBow Summer School of Art in Michigan and taught at Oberlin College, the University of Wyoming, the University of Illinois at Chicago, and the Northeast Ohio Medical University.

Barbara has organized over 125 exhibitions to date. While at Akron, she co-organized the first large-scale international exhibition chronicling women’s historic achievements in fine art photography, which toured across the United States. Upon arriving at the Cleveland Museum of Art, she organized the first museum exhibition of print-on-demand photobooks, DIY: Photographers & Books and wrote the accompanying catalogue.  She has authored numerous other publications and lectured throughout the U.S. and in Canada, Brazil, and China.

For these and other contributions, Barbara received the Association of Midwest Museum’s Distinguished Career Award in 2010.

DAVID KRONN with TRISTAN LUND
Collector; Collecting Advisor

David Kronn is the Chief of Medical Genetics and Inherited Metabolic Disease Center at Westchester Medical Center, and Associate Professor of Pathology and Pediatrics at New York Medical College, both in Valhalla, New York. He was born in Dublin, and qualified as a physician from Trinity College Dublin. He moved to New York in 1990 to pursue training in Pediatrics and Medical Genetics at New York University Medical Center.
His interest in photography has been lifelong, initially as a keen amateur which he continues, to his interest in collecting which started shortly after arriving in New York. His diverse collection has many themes, with an early focus on classic twentieth century works, with particular interest in photographs of children, and work done in Ireland. David has more recently been collecting contemporary Irish photography and works depicting the history of the Troubles, in the North.
The David Kronn collection is an ongoing and promised gift to the Irish Museum of Modern Art in Dublin. Three exhibitions from the collection have been shown at the Museum – Out of the Dark Room 2011, Second Sight 2014 and Northern Light 2020/21.



Tristan Lund is an independent art advisor specializing in photography.
He is curator of The Incite Project, a UK based collection of photojournalism, documentary photography and photographic art and co-curator of the 2021 edition of Approche art fair, Paris.
From 2017 - 2019 he was curator of Photo London art fair's Discovery section dedicated to young galleries and prior to this he was Director of Michael Hoppen Contemporary, London.

COLLECTOR’S SHOW AND TELL
This event included a panel of speakers, each sharing the story of a favorite photograph they own in 3 minutes or less. Featured collectors included (in presenting order): Evan Mirapaul, Neil Helman, Chris Fleischner, Cynthia Cable, Claire Moclock, Christine Symchych, and Brian Lang.

ISOLDE BRIELMAIER
Curator and Cultural Strategist

Curator and cultural strategist Isolde Brielmaier currently serves as the inaugural Curator-at-Large at the International Center of Photography (ICP) as well as the curator of several large-scale public artist commission projects with organizations including The Peninsula Hotel Group, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW) and Amazon Web Services (AWS)|Smithsonian. She is Professor of Critical Studies in Tisch School of the Art at New York University and advises on a range of global cultural projects that bridge both the public and private sectors in the interest of art, artists, community and social impact. 

Brielmaier has written extensively on contemporary art and culture and has developed cultural platforms for a broad range of organizations including Richard Meier Architects, Valentino, Life Water, Coach, Versace, Gucci, ARCO Madrid, Prospect New Orleans, New Wave Art Weekend and The Armory Show. Previously, she has held senior posts at the Guggenheim Museum, the Bronx Museum of Art, and as Chief Curator for the SCAD Museum of Art. Brielmaier currently serves on The Board of Trustees of the New Museum of Contemporary Art, the Women’s Prison Association (WPA) and the sustainable, luxury brand Another Tomorrow. She is also Editor at Large at AIR MAIL, Graydon Carter’s new media venture, and speaks regularly on topics related to art, culture and social impact.
